Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of gwctrucking.com, including the job application, the contact form and the employee portal. Using the site means you accept them. They are short on purpose.
1. What this site is
An information and hiring site for GWC Trucking Inc, and a portal for our employees. Nothing here is a contract of employment.
Job postings are not offers of employment
A posting describes work we expect to have. Pay figures, schedules and bonuses are what we advertise at the time and can change. Nothing on this site guarantees you a job, a rate, a route or a shift. An offer of employment is something a person makes to you directly, in writing, after the hiring process.
2. Applying
Tell us the truth. Information you give us is used to decide whether to hire you and, if we do, becomes part of your employment record — and for commercial drivers, part of a file the federal regulations require us to keep accurate. Deliberately false information on an application is grounds for refusing to hire you, or for dismissal if it comes out later.
Background checks, driving record checks and drug and alcohol testing are part of hiring a commercial driver. Those are handled separately, with the written authorisations the law requires.
3. The employee portal
- It is for current GWC employees and contractors, for company business.
- Your login is yours. Do not share it, and do not let anyone else use it.
- Choose a password you do not use anywhere else. If you think somebody knows it, change it and tell the office.
- What you can see depends on your role. Trying to get at records you are not entitled to — whoever they belong to — is a serious matter and every access is logged.
- Access ends when your employment does.
4. Things you must not do
- Submit applications or messages automatically, in bulk, or under a name that is not yours.
- Scrape, copy or republish the site or its job listings wholesale.
- Probe, scan or try to break the site or get around its access controls.
- Upload anything containing malicious code.
- Use the site to break the law.
If you have found a genuine security problem, please tell us through the form on our contact page, or call (301) 500-0645 and ask for the owner, before telling anyone else. We will take it seriously and we will not come after you for reporting it in good faith.
5. What belongs to whom
The text, layout, photographs and the GWC name and logo on this site belong to GWC Trucking Inc. The FedEx and FedEx Ground names belong to FedEx Corporation; we use them to describe the work we do as a contracted service provider, not to suggest FedEx endorses this website. Anything you submit stays yours, but you give us permission to use it for hiring and employment purposes.
6. Other sites
Where we link somewhere else, we do not control it and we are not responsible for it.
7. No warranty
We work to keep this site accurate and available, but we provide it “as is”. We do not promise it will always be up, always be free of errors, or always be current. Job postings in particular can be filled before we take them down.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, GWC Trucking Inc is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this site. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot legally be limited — including anything to do with your rights as an employee or an applicant.
9. Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, and any dispute about them belongs in the state or federal courts serving Maryland. This does not affect employment rights or claims that the law says must be heard somewhere else.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top will change when we do.
