Text message terms & conditions
Last updated October 8, 2026
Texting is how most of our drivers actually want to be reached, so we use it — carefully. These are the terms and conditions of our SMS program: what we will send, how often, what it costs, and how to make it stop.
The short version
Reply STOP to any message and we stop texting you. Reply HELP for help, or call (301) 500-0645. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of getting a job here — say no and we will call you instead.
What we send
- If you applied: follow-up about your application, and arranging a call or an interview.
- If you work here: account help — including a temporary password when you cannot get in — plus schedule and dispatch messages.
- Daily safety question (drivers who agree): one text a day after you start your shift, with a link to a one-question driving-safety quiz on gwctrucking.com. Answer it only while parked.
We do not send marketing texts, we do not text you about anything unrelated to working here, and we do not give your number to anyone else to text you. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
How often
Message frequency varies. There is no set number — you get a message when there is something to tell you, and not otherwise. For drivers, dispatch messages about trailer moves are usually a few per working day. The daily safety question is one message per working day.
How you agreed
By giving us your mobile number on the application form, on the contact form, or directly to someone in the office, and being told what it would be used for. Consent is not assumed from anything else.
For the daily safety question, someone in the office reads you what you will get, how often, and how to stop, and asks if you agree. We write down the date you said yes. Saying no does not affect your job.
Stopping
Reply STOP to any message from us. You can also call the office on (301) 500-0645, or use the form on our contact page, and ask. Stopping texts does not affect your application or your job.
If you are an employee and you stop texts, note that we will then reach you by phone or email instead — including for urgent scheduling.
Costs, and carriers
Message and data rates may apply — your mobile provider’s standard charges. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Changing your number
Tell us when your number changes. Numbers get reassigned, and we would rather not send your account details to a stranger.
